SkillsPULSE Workshop “How do institutions facilitate skills-matching processes within the Dual Transition context?”

The workshop took place at IME GSEVEE – the Small Enterprises’ Institute of the Hellenic Confederation of Professionals, Craftsmen, and Merchants in Athens, on December 3, 2025.

The SkillsPULSE workshop “How do institutions facilitate skills-matching processes within the Dual Transition context?” brought together representatives from the Ministry of Labour, social partner organisations, and leading research institutes to discuss the challenges and opportunities that the green and digital transitions pose for skills formation.

The workshop, moderated by Giorgos Bithymitris (EKKE), opened with welcoming remarks from Liga Baltina (Fondazione Giacomo Brodolini), coordinator of the SkillsPULSE project.

The first contribution came from Stavros Gavroglou of the Ministry of Employment and Social Insurance, who presented Greece’s Labour Market Intelligence Platform (MDAAE). Following this, Georgios Ferentzakis from AE4RIA showcased the AI Skills Tool developed by the institute. The discussion then moved to sectoral analysis with Magda Peistikou from INSETE, who shared findings from recent work on the skills of the future in the tourism sector. Next, Dimitris Paitaridis from INE-GSEE presented key takeaways from surveys covering 15 occupations.

Then, Konstantinos Pouliakas from Cedefop delivered the keynote address, drawing on insights from Cedefop’s Artificial Intelligence Skills Survey.

The workshop concluded with closing remarks from EKKE, emphasising the importance of continued cooperation between research organisations, public authorities, and social partners.
