The ESDI User Guide is now available
The SkillsPULSE project has published the European Skills Deficiencies Index (ESDI) User Guide, providing an overview of the ESDI and its contextual indices, and explaining their structure, indicators, scores and interpretation.
The guide is designed to help users understand and make use of the ESDI and its results when exploring skills deficiencies across Europe. The ESDI benchmarks skills deficiencies across European countries, occupations and sectors, covering both skill shortages and skill gaps. It is complemented by the Structural Labour Market Pressure Index, which looks at technological and labour market developments that may affect future skills demand, and the Mitigating Factors Index, which captures the capacity of education and training systems to develop and renew skills. Together, these indices provide a broader picture of skills challenges across Europe.
The ESDI and the two contextual indices will be available through the SkillsPULSE platform, accessible via the SkillsPULSE website. The platform is currently being tested, with workshops with stakeholders. These workshops will help test the platform and gather feedback from potential users.
The ESDI User Guide is now available as a resource for anyone interested in understanding and using the SkillsPULSE indices.

Once the testing phase has been completed and the feedback from stakeholders has been incorporated, the SkillsPULSE platform will be opened to the public.
Stay tuned!
