EU CONFERENCE “Re-Thinking Europe’s Skill Needs: Reflections Following the European Year of Skills”
The event will take place on October 29, 2024, from 10:00 to 18:00 in Rome, Italy. Organised by Fondazione Giacomo Brodolini in collaboration with the SkillsPULSE project. Free upon online registration.
The conference will feature expert panels and discussions focusing on the key challenges in Europe’s labour market, including labour shortages, the growth of green jobs, and the impact of AI on workforce transformation. The panels will bring together renowned experts, researchers, and policymakers, including:
- Keynote speakers: Glenda Quintini (OECD) and Antonio Bonardo from the World Employment Confederation (WEC-Europe);
- Expert panel on tackling labour shortages and workforce transformation;
- Roundtable discussion on measuring labour and skill shortages in Europe;
- Policy roundtable on how to develop a sustainable workforce for the future focused on experience of Italy.
The conference will also mark the official launch of the book “Re-Thinking Europe’s Skill Needs: Reflections Following the European Year of Skills”. The afternoon will include interactive sessions led by the book’s authors.
Simultaneous translation will be available in both Italian and English throughout the event, ensuring full engagement for all attendees.
