How will labour shortages and surpluses shape Europe’s market by 2030?
Europe needs more workers in many jobs. How will this affect EURES, the network of European employment services, in the future? European Labour Authority explored this question through a strategic foresight exercise, identifying key drivers of change – from technological advances and job quality to climate policies and education gaps.
By combining these drivers with future uncertainties, nine possible scenarios were developed, ranging from economic recovery and growth to prolonged instability.
Our partners from Fondazione Giacomo Brodolini and IER –Liga Baltina, Rafael Martins Resende, Ioan Cristinel Raileanu, and Terence Hogarth– have contributed to this exercise by working on the driver files and scenario building.
