SkillsPULSE Partnership meeting in Brussels
The 3rd Partnership Meeting of the SkillsPULSE Project took place in Brussels on December 4-5, hosted by our coordinator Fondazione Giacomo Brodolini.
These two days full of activities, in which the SkillsPULSE partners could share the progress of the project and plan the next steps, concluded with a Workshop on refining the measurement of skill shortages and gaps, that brought together experts from the European Committee of the Regions, World Employment Confederation (WEC), European Commission, Brussels Office of the Lodzkie Region, and KU Leuven, to discuss existing approaches and evidence on skill shortages and gaps, and to develop actionable recommendations on measurement approaches to better capture potential skill deficiencies.
The workshop was led by Seamus McGuinness, Research Professor and the Research Area Co-ordinator for labour market research at the Economic and Social Research Institute (ESRI), Ireland.
