SkillsPULSE shares international insights on tackling skills shortages at FGB Knowledge Apéro
SkillsPULSE recently took part in the 19th FGB Knowledge Apéro in Brussels, contributing to a discussion on how countries identify, monitor and respond to skills shortages through skills intelligence systems and employer surveys.
During the session, SkillsPULSE partners presented key findings from the project’s ongoing research on skills shortages and skills gaps. The discussion highlighted evidence gathered through the SkillsPULSE employer survey, offering valuable insights into employers’ experiences when recruiting workers with the right skills and qualifications.
The event also showcased comparative research on international skills intelligence systems, examining how different countries collect, analyse and use labour market information to anticipate future skills needs and support policy development. Participants learned about a range of approaches adopted across countries, including mechanisms that integrate labour market intelligence with education, training and workforce planning strategies.
The event offered an excellent opportunity to share emerging results from SkillsPULSE, strengthen collaboration with key stakeholders and contribute to the broader conversation on addressing skills shortages across Europe.
