SkillsPULSE presented at the 90th Thessaloniki International Fair

On Saturday, September 12, as part of the 90th Thessaloniki International Fair, our colleague Giorgos Bithymitris, Senior Researcher at the National Centre for Social Research, presented the SkillsPULSE project.

In particular, G. Bithymitris presented the development and relevance of the European Skills Deficiencies Index (ESDI), which constitutes the backbone of the project’s results. The index is based on the combination of multiple sources of labour market information, including employer and employee sample surveys, online job advertisements, Workforce Surveys, and patent applications. It also captures different dimensions of the labour market, including job supply and demand.

The presentation attracted interest from national organisations, including the Hellenic Foundation for Research and Innovation (H.F.R.I.), as well as from visitors to the exhibition.

The Thessaloniki International Fair is Greece’s largest and most prestigious trade fair, bringing together public institutions, businesses, research organisations, universities, and innovators from across Europe and beyond. It provides an important platform for showcasing innovation, fostering collaboration, and discussing major economic, technological, and societal challenges shaping the future.
